Week of Freedom

9/18/2014

Well, good news is I got a job! Bad news is this is my last week of freedom! Thanks to a friend, I'll be working at Merewether Surf Club! To be honest, it probably sounds way cooler than what it actually is. At this point though, its a job and that's all I need.
Having all this time on my hands makes me a bit crazy. My mind tends to wander about useless things as is…like how a body could make eyeballs (E.P. I hope you read this) ….so with nothing to do in the day, I over think to the extreme. Things I want to do in my life, how I get there, where I start, and who I need to talk to. It's a little overwhelming. I have to constantly remind myself to take one day at a time and things will fall into place. That is how life works. Yes, it is important to have goals and ambitions but sometimes I need to let go and see where it gets me.

Pictures of the surf club and the view. When I say surf club - it's a venue for events. Basically I'm working at the restaurant/cafe. But looks fancy right!?

Lazy Sundays ☀️

After a weekend getaway in Port Stephens…days spent on the beach, nights spent at bars; I couldn't wait to get home and enjoy the last of our lazy sunday. While the bf watches some footy, I'm obsessing over home decor via instagram, pinterest, and my fellow bloggers; daydreaming about my perfect humble abode…one day. I've always loved interior design (my main reason for buying The Sims as a child) but I don't know if it will ever be something I pursue…until I can afford to decorate my own house. There's nothing like a few eclectic gems, vintage candles/books/frames, a solid (fake) plant, and throw in some tweed or knitted textures to create a homey environment. Seems so simple…why doesn't my house look like this!!

Adventures in Australia

As of last week, I live in Newcastle, Australia. Originally from B.C. in Canada, I underestimated how different it would be. "They speak English, it's a westernized country…what could go wrong?" Day-by-day, I am surely finding out! It's a risk to change your life (for a boy) but so far…all differences aside..so worth it! I'm loving the new environment and it gives me a fresh taste of what life can be like. Never a dull moment; xx
